My name is Isaac, born and raised in kenya but i have had a chance to travel in many parts of africa. Recently i was discussing with my friend about the dangers of Asbestos after his friend development a rare form of cancer known as Mesothelioma, well i am not a doctor but i will try to offer my best advice and also share with you about this ticking time bomb that is lurking around us.
When i was growing up, we live in a Military camp which was built back in 40s. Almost ll the houses were built on the asbestos roof and it is a common practice for people to draw rain water using the gutters connected to their roof tops.
Apart from the roof, there are many other materials my father used to tell me that they are built from asbestos, the way he praised the material made me grow up liking it and seeing how beneficial it was. Little did i know then that asbestos is quite dangerous to health and that it should be handled with care.
The reason why i have created this blog is to help the people in Kenya and Africa at large to know the dangers of absestos and stay away from it at all cost. Hope you enjoy
